As you approach a city, a rumbling sound heralds The Chariot’s arrival in your sky. Guided by two Sphinxes, the past and the present, the pilots seem not to be in control. Instead they let their vehicle go where it may, avoiding the destruction of conflict.
Glory and success are fleeting. The Chariot is a harbinger of victory, and a warning against complacency.
You have balanced on a tightrope between death and damnation, you have followed a fox through ruined villages of despair. Finally your goal approaches. To those around you, your success may appear unearned. Ignore them, for they seek only to deny your achievement.
The Chariot may be a fellow traveller, a successful encouragement to continue to strive. They may bring news from afar, or the spiritual energy you require to use your abilities to the full.
At the same time as you reap the benefits of the guidance of the fates, you seek to use it as an excuse for envy and avarice. Perhaps success comes too easily and you lose self control. Or perhaps success doesn’t come at all, hindered by insecurities or a lack of self-confidence.
Inverted, The Chariot is a monument to overwhelming ambition and the waste it creates.
